I play in a rock band but my clothes don't fit the part how can I need tips?

I'm in middle school so no tatoos or anything. black and red are good but i dont want to over do it...... I NEED HELP!

Watch Mtv and take notes - but really anything goes.

Even within a band, some people dress differently. Unless you like the Beatles / Motown / Shins uniform idea, go nuts.

For example, Dave Matthews' drummer always wears hockey jerseys, while Dave goes casual and barefoot.

Also, since you're young, buy stuff you could wear to school or parties, too. No reason you need a "stage only" outfit.

Lastly, make sure you're comfortable. Not many guitarists can play in billowy sleeves or something way too tight.

most rock bands just wear clothes they always usually wear. if you play good and the rest of the band plays good the people listening to you could hardly careless. but if you want tips i guess it depends on what type of rock band your in. Metal is more satanic than anything else for instance some role models could be Slayer, Hatebreed, etc. If your just a ordinary rock band then baiscally wear whatever you want. If your more into the "emo" music scene(which btw sucks) then dress scene/emo and cry alot about how much life sucks. =)

Also, it depends on how old you are to pull off the look. I'm 13 and I prefer the pop-punk, indie, or emo look, but it has to go w/ your music.

ALSO PEOPLE, I AM NOT SAYING THESE BANDS ARE "EMO" OR "INDIE" OR ETC... I AM SAYING THEY DRESS THAT WAY.
