I agree. It's all a bunch of crap. I remember being a kid in the 70's being taught in science class about the coming ice age. Does everyone just forget about that? If global warming has been a problem since the beginning of the 20th century, how could the leading scientists of the 70's thought there was a coming ice age? It just doesn't make sense. Why can't anyone just admit that the climate is cyclical and these changes are just a part of nature?

Some Simple Facts:
Yes, there is Global Warming. It has happened before and it will happen again. Example: Middle ages, the global warming was obviously caused by man then also.
The Ice caps have melted, on average, an insignificant amount, causing the sea level to rise an insignificant amount. I have heard claims that 40% of the ice caps are already gone. If that were true, the sea level would have risen 3 feet. Serious misinformation.
Man contributes only minimally to global warming. I have heard claims that 90% of Climate scientists say man outright caused the global warming. That is an outright lie. The figure is more like 10%. Maybe 90% percent believe that Man CONTRIBUTES BUT NOT CAUSES global warming. Misinformation.
Global warming is a political tool used to divert attention from Big Oils raping of America. It is the latest in a line of intentional distractions by politicians. As others have said the “flavor of the month”. What has your politician done about Big Oil. Probably nothing or misinformation.
Global warming is real but used by Alarmists by horrific exaggerations and careful misinformation. These Alarmists spout various facts and figures with little or no truth while denouncing anything that contradicts their views. I often think their actions remind me of psycho sports fans who freak out if you dare to say anything is wrong with their team.
There is good in the global warming debate. It will reduce pollution and increase energy efficiency. I don’t need lies and misinformation to get me to believe that.

The answer to your question is that almost everybody who researches the subject - and I'm talking about researching the science, not watching some crap documentary - agrees that humans are the primary cause of global warming.

It's funny how many people cited the great global warming swindle here. That "documentary" is full of so much bad science I couldn't even watch the whole thing. In the first 30 seconds there was already a false claim. It's a pure propaganda film.
Journalist Mark Lynas just wrote a book titled "Six Degrees: Our Future on a Hotter Planet". To write the book, he researched all the global warming scientific papers at Oxford University's Radcliffe Science Library over a period of 8+ years. He went in without any preconceived notions, unbiased, and came out agreeing with the scientific consensus that humans are the primary cause of the current global warming. Any reasonable person who examined all the evidence would come to the same conclusion.

The claim that most scientists believe in the man made global warming hypothesis is just journalists' hype. Of the 2500 scientist claimed to support the IPCC report for the UN, less than a third were climate qualified scientists, (one was a gynaecologist, for heaven's sake) of the remaining third, several had their contributions to the report deleted because they did not support the hypothesis, yet their names were still included as supporters despite protests from those involved. I have been in Antarctica where the scientists told me that the main body of the continent is cooling down, only the peninsular (3% of the area) is warming up due to fluctuations in sea currents.

Since you are asking this question in the Politics section, I am going to give you a politically-oriented answer.
No, I most certainly do not believe in man-made global warming. What, would people like us to believe it is just a huge coincidence that all the other planets in the solar system are registering higher temperature due to this periodic fluctuation in solar radiation? Did we cause "global warming" on Mars?
The "sheeple" act like CO2 is some poisonous gas. It is one of the most essential components of our atmosphere, and one major volcanic eruption can spew out more CO2 than all of mankind's intervention in an entire year.
The Alaskan tundra should be an environmentalist's dream: thousands upon thousands of miles of pristine vegetation. It's also a huge contributor to CO2 in our atmosphere. Tell that to Al Gore. If he wants to reduce CO2 in our atmosphere, he'd have to spray it will herbicide. How's that for "An Inconvenient Truth"?
Did you know that in earth's history, the level of CO2 has been FAR HIGHER than today, with no corresponding increase in temperature?
Have people forgotten from history that during the Middle Ages the temperature across Europe was so warm that they planted grapes in London? That Greeland was so warm it allowed for crops to be planted and livestock to be grazed?
In our planet's history, the CO2 levels have often been far higher (and I'm talking MULTIPLES, such as 3x, not just some small percent higher), with no accompanying increase in global temperature. How do the loony theorists explain that?
I have posted this challenge many times, and maybe two people took the time to watch the video, so I am not holding my breath (but I should, I'm breathing out CO2.... gasp!!!)
If anyone wants to know the truth about global warming, just watch "The Great Global Warming Swindle". You can set the video to play Full Screen, and it's quite visually entertaining.

Addendem: Don't you just love people like "Kit Fang" who pompously uses words like "obviously" to profess knowledge he most likely does not have, and which even eludes some climatologists. The most HILARIOUS thing is he refers to CO2 as a poisonous gas, the very thing for which I was mocking the Global Warming crowd! Will he at least have the good sense to be embarrassed? Do you think someone like this will watch the video I recommended? Invest the best 1:13 minutes of your life, and watch this fascinating and entertaining video. I guarantee you will learn things you never imagined.

It's all a load of boll0cks put about by the government so they can have more control and taxes us more.
When I was a kid 30 years ago we were being told we were heading towards a Ice Age because of what we were doing to the planet but all of a sudden were all going to fry in a heatwave because of what were doing!!!!!!.
Then there's all the bandwagon jumping "Celebrities" who are going to do a lot of concerts to "save" the planet. Half of these "Celebrities" would go to the opening of a bag of potato chips if they though they'd get publicity or even more money for doing it.

i'm nonetheless slightly sceptical, regardless of the actuality that i myself care approximately our wild places. I do even if think of that we would desire to consistently take the risk heavily. The info proves that organic cycles of climate take place on a grand scale. there have been as quickly as lions, hippos and elephants wandering the united kingdom geographical region, approximately one hundred twenty,000 years in the past. That substitute into an interglacial heat spell. the ingredient that may no longer disputed, is that those issues ensue clearly, regardless of each thing the Scottish geographical region is packed with glacial good factors. even if, the info skill that our extra contribution to international warming is making it ensue at a swifter fee than life can manage. we are conversing approximately climate substitute going on in many years, somewhat than spanning centuries or 1000's of years. organic international has coped with climate substitute extremely properly interior the previous. woodlands and grasslands can circulate at their snails p.c.., to maintain song of the circumstances that suit them. presently there are extra matters. we've our organic international trapped in wallet that are surrounded by farmland. The organic "corridors" are long gone. organic international charities are doing their terrific to make our wild places greater joined up. If climate substitute keeps because it relatively is and there is not any area for issues to pass, then we can lose lots. besides, i think of my significant concern is that i do no longer want it to be real.

Yes. Most scientists in the field..
However you are among friends in your ostrich attitude. Governments are not taking the problem at all seriously. They are so cowed by big business, where short term profits are much more important than anything else, that they will not take any meaningful action.

ok, so could you please explain to me how all these poisonous gases are NOT contributing to species dying, an increase in children with asthma, and the general fact that the world is getting warmer?
Sorry, but you are obviously in denial. man-made global warming is happening. yeah, there is little we can do to stop it, but it is happening. Sorry, but basic science proves that extra carbon doixide limits the amount of heat being reflected back out into space, causing the earth to warm up. if you can't accept that, you need to go back to primary school and learn science properly.
I have yet to see any evidence that is anywhere near convincing that global warming is not man made - all the evidence (and common sense) says that is it the fauly of humans. especially obvously selfsih ones like you.

global warming isn't man made what cars and stuff were around when the ice age ended its all part of the earth getting back to its normal temperature after the ice age and a money making scam from the politicians to sell things that are meant to be good for the earth
