If the Yankees are really done this year and the Red Sox make it to the World Series, the New York Mets could still beat them! I bet in another 86 years, Yankee fans will be bragging about it chanting "2004!" just like they always said "1918!"

Hey you Red Suxs fan the Yanks are going to win their 10th straight (count em) AL East Division crown. The Red Suxs fan keep forgetting that last several years the Bosuxs have always lost the lead to give it to the Yanks. So far the Yanks have won five of six games so far. The Bosuxs have lost three straight to the Tigs. Can you say "deja vu" all over again.

As a Bruins fan, I don't see how we could put down the Red Sox. That our best team here in Boston. Celtics and Bruins fans are nothing compared to Red Sox Nation. We have the Patriots, but even Pats fans aren't competing with the amount of Sox fans around here.

And as far as the Yankees chanting 2004? When was the last time they won a WS? I've heard enough of this 26 rings crap. I haven't seen any championships since 2000, and Sox fans aren't chanting "2000". Unless the Sox go over 20 years without another WS, you will not hear fans chanting years. And to add to this, the Sox will win this year. I am going to guarantee victory.

Yankees fans will HARDLY chant 2004. The Yankees BLEW a three game to nothing lead to become the ONLY team EVER to lose a playoff series after being ahead 3 games to none. Then the Sox went on to win the World Series. Yankee fans will never chant 2004 because that was the beginning of their shameful performance for the last three years!!

Chow!!

The Boston metropolitan region has the most championships per team of any city wth at least 2 professional sports teams in the United States:

Celtics 16
Red Sox 6
Bruins 5
Patriots 3

That's 30 divided by 4 = 7.5 per team. Add 2 more with the Red Sox and Patriots this year and no one even comes close.

When are they going to cheer New York is "Runner Up" in the major sports compared to Boston? They should do it every day, as a matter of fact.

I bet Red Sox are pissed 'cause they haven't won a World Series in 3 years. They went 86 years without one, and now they're already impatient.

Then again, this is a St. Louis Cardinals fan ranting here. I'm not a Sox fan at all!

I don't think that the Red Sox will not win another World Series in the next 86 years. The percentages of it happening was very slim, and for them to repeat it is even slimmer.

Think about this. Where do you place the Mets if they were in the AL east?? Your unbias answer should be 3 or 4th. Mets are currently In a bad Division were It's still up for grabs. Also, Theo Epstein is regarded as the top young GM in baseball. As for yankee fans, Redsox lead the Yanks in tittles in this millenium 1-0. I'll still be wearing my Diet Choke shirt. Official soft drink of the NEW YORK YANKEES.
