Does the commutation of the sentence of the traitor Scooter Libby - who put this country's security at grave risk, convince the last 3% of the population that still support Bush that they have elected a MADMAN?

It is another example of a White house that operates using the power of the office of the Presidency to obstruct Justice. Bush43 and Cheney should be impeached for this, for illegal wiretapping in violation of the Constitution; for authorizing the use of torture policies and extraordinary rendition of illegally detained prisoners in violation of the Constitution and the Geneva Convention, for setting aside many of the treaty obligations we have under international treaties and agreements ratified by prior Presidents and Senates in violation of the Constitution; but most of all,

for the lies, propaganda, incompetencies & mafiosi-like machinations that took the people's US military into Iraq which has resulted so far in the death of over 3700 and the injury of over 22000 servicemen and servicewomen. The President and the Vice President are the worst people to have occuppied the Whitehouse and they have made a mockery of the Constitution and democratic principles destroying the high regard, above reproach reputation that the US once had. The US government was always expected to abide by and uphold the Constitution as an example to the rest of the world. That reputation has been destroyed and cannot be regained ever!

I hope the voters who put them in office will recognize their mistake and remember it when they go into the voting booths in the future.

I think the "mommy, but he did it too!" defense is logically and morally absurd. tHE "Two wrongs make a right" is not a defensible argument and those who make it are REALLY no better than THE PEOPLE THEY ADMIRE, BUSH43 and CHENEY.

Traitor? Libby was questioned about a conversation that he had a year ago. The answer he gave was incorrect. So he was indicted and convicted for lying because he could not remember the exact details. Meanwhile the real leaker, Richard Armitage, confessed. Fitzgerald, who already spent over a $million in this investigation, had to justify his work and Libby was the scapegoat.

Question: If I asked what you said in a conversation that happened a year ago, could you remember exactly what was said?

And by the way, Plame came in from the cold in 1995 when she was outed by the Russians. Since 1997 she has been in a 9 to 5 job at Langely while married to Joe Wilson. She's not exactly covert. Also the statute of limitations for covertness had expired when Bob Novak wrote that she worked for the CIA. Fitzgerald had no case and had to justify his existence.

Another mad mad, Adolph Hitler, once said: "How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think."
Only a small percentage of Americans will see any interest - or threat - in this incident. Bush's commutation of Libby's sentence smacks of treason in and of itself. But, like lobsters languishing in a pot of lukewarm water, most of us won't give a damn - until the pot starts boiling over and then - only then - will we start screaming in agony over our own apathy. Bush IS a mad man, as was Hitler. But until the American public begins to recognize that we're sliding down a slippery slope into totalitarianism and tyranny, not one U.S. President will see the need for honoring "the people's" wishes. -RKO- 07/03/07

Apparently you chose to be uninformed. Scooter Libby committed no treason. Look up the definition. He was convicted of lying to a Grand Jury the same charge the Bill Clinton was guilty of. The lie? He couldn't remember the contents of a 10 minute meeting 2 years earlier. He was not convicted of "outing" Valerie Plame. Fitzgerald has admitted that he already knew that Richard Armitage had "outed" Valerie Plame by accident. So if Fitz had his outer why the continued investigation? Just polititcs. So look at what you are saying. You think a man who did not commit the crime should go to prison for political reasons. What banana republic did you grow up in?

Every president does the same thing..and it will always continue to happen regardless of who is in office....most presidents wait til they leave office so as not to mess up their parties elections.
