TBS used to show all the Braves games. Now they don't. Why not?
I'm not a Braves fan but I do like an out of town NL team, and would like to see them more often.

It has to do with the recent purchase by Liberty Media, and it's only going to get worse for many fans. After this season, TBS will relinquish its rights to show Braves games nationally. They will instead show some games only in the Southeast (outside of the Atlanta area) while WTBS - the local TBS affiliate in Atlanta - will take over the broadcast of Braves games locally. There's no indication yet how many they'll broadcast locally, but my guess is that it will be the majority of games.
TBS will also show a game of the week next season, along with the divisional playoffs and championship series in certain years.

They still do show some, just not as many. I saw the Braves play the Rockies on Sunday and the game was televised on TBS. I believe there are still a couple games a week where the games are on TBS ,and hopefully the team you want to see is broadcast during that game. If not, I guess you'll have to go to a bar.

TBS still shows a couple of Braves games a week but all their games are televised on Sports South or FSN.

I believe TBS only had a contract deal with the Braves. I don't think it was supposed to be permanent.

i hate the braves too, but I know they used to show on TBS all the time.

I think they only show the games if the braves are winning or John Smoltz or Tim Hudson are pitching
