I guess that happens when we begin to lose hope, as the bad things happen to us outnumber good things.

It can be from a lot of different reasons. The way someone was raised, material things getting in the way, people being allowed to walk all over people and not care, ect. It's just a negative world, and unfortunately the only thing you can do is not be affected by it and not turn into a negative person, and make sure you raise your children in a positive light as well. I used to be bothered by this, but I have just learned that there is nothing I can do to change it. So just accept it, without letting others walk all over you, and I raise my kids with the same thought.

Negative thinking is not a culture-specific or era-specific trait. There are negative thinkers everywhere. Hanging around with more latinos won't help... but hanging around positive thinking latinos will. But you can find positive thinking people elsewhere, too. It is just a matter of where you look and what kind of person YOU are! Positive people tend to attract other positive people.

You know, I'm starting to think it's the sign of the times. People are just so defensive, feeling we are being judged unjustly, not getting to know each other in friendly terms or atmosphere. Each change begins with just one of us, so we just have to keep smiling and putting out positive reinforcements to the people around us. Most of the time, people cannot resist when confronted with a smile and hello from us each time. Bugs me when I have a salesperson wait on me that is rude every time I shop there and wonder, "How did they get the job?!" Hang in there. There are good people of every nationality out there! There are just too many stresses on everyone nowadays, too.

The price of gas is going up, the economy is falling like a rock, we are going into a recession and depression, the democrats are going to double or triple your taxes, we are going to invade and get into more wars with more countries, the list goes on; what exactly is there to be not negative about?

With the efficient communications possible today, people are able to learn about tragedies and insanity in politics so much more rapidly than our ancestors ever could.
And I think too much knowledge about world affairs can be a harming influence.
A few years ago one of the oldest people in the world died at the age of 121 I think.....he was a simple shepherd in Italy. He didn't need to know or care about world lunacy.
Information overload can burn you out.

Because negativity sells news. The way to find people who are not negative is to not be negative yourself. I do my best to be as positive as I can be in this negative ridden world. Sometimes you have to search hard to find the positive but it is there...always was.

Negativity has nothing to do with race or ethicity! It's everywhere! And unfortunately, it breeds itself....it's contaigous! But so is being positive and smiling and comlimenting one another, so I think for those of us who notice it and are discouraged by it, that means we have to be the ones to step out there and strive to be positive!!

I work with children. I am never negative. I'm always in an up-beat mood for them. They in turn, make me happy! I love they way they play, and the imaginative things they say!

we live in a negative world... theres so much pain and suffering that its hard for alot of people to stay positive... plus when you add everyday stress like work, kids, school, bills, etc. its almost impossible!... but if you have a positive attitude you will draw people with the same kinda attitude to you... good luck... and remember how lucky you are...
