i went to the dr for a blood test.... im awaiting for the results!! (thursday)

Yippers. I was almost 5 months pregnant (19 weeks) and every week I was doing tests at work (I work at a medical research company) and things were always negative. Urine test kits were not expired or stored improperly, we all were at a loss to explain it.
I found out via my GP and an emergency ultrasound the same day that dated the pregnancy at 19 weeks 3 days!! The only sign I had was a tightening waistline inspite of exercise and regular diet, by weeks end was in maternity clothes and much more comfortable. Also had felt my daughter move before I knew I was expecting... just thought it was indigestion/gas bubbles.
Don't stress yourself out worrying, since stress can also delay your period as well, making a vicious cycle.

With my first child it took almost 2 1/2 months after I missed my period to get a positive result. I didn't have high levels of hcg so the urine test wouldn't pick it up. So yes it is very possible.

My mother said she came up negative after using a home test and also at the dr's office, but she was indeed pregnant with me and she was 6 months pregnant before she found out!

Yes it has happen to me twice with both my kids I went to the doctor and the sent me to the lab for the urine and the call me back telling me I wasn't. So I was like cool but why am I not getting my period so I went back and ask them to take my blood and sure enough I was pregnant!

Yes, not me, but a friend of mine was like 3 months pregnant b/f she got a positive. You may be testing too soon, also they say it is best to do in the am, first thing.

I had 2 destructive being pregnant tests till now sorting out i substitute into actual pregnant. I had common indicators (missed era, fatigue, moodiness) and that i kinda felt like i substitute into pregnant and it wasn't till i substitute into 2 months pregnant that i myself have been given a favorable being pregnant try (i'm 5 months pregnant now)

yes happened to me recently. i had 2 neg hpt my last period was april 19th. had a blood test early june came back neg. 3weeks after blood test i took hpt POS. in less than 10 sec. went to doctors the next week and they confirmed it.

If you take it too soon, you will get a negative result. Also, sometimes the tests just aren't effective.

Yes! because it happen to me with my third child i was upset until i really went to my doctor and told him why does my pregnancy is coming out negative and you are telling me that I'm pregnant until they did blood work on me to prove to me that i was pregnant and i have a beautiful little girl name Virginia

According to the health department I wasnt pregnant with my first child amazingly I had a little girl several months later lol
