It does not have to be an alcoholic drink. Just whatever you would normally take...

Tough one. You need to take something that you don't mind drinking, in case there's nothing else palatable on offer. Don't take anything too grim, or they'll all call you a cheapskate. However, you need to be very careful not to take anything too good, or everyone else will drink yours and leave you with the nasty stuff.

You probably can't go far wrong with a decent Chardonnay.

Depends on the Atmosphere and how hammered you want to be.

Outdoors, and hot out... I'd go with a bottle of Tequilla and splurge for the bottle of Margaritta Mix too.

If you like Wines, possibly a Pinot Grigio or Chardonnay. Maybe a blush wine like a Zinfandel.

Indoors, you can never go wrong on Vodka.

As for wines, I'd say go with a nice red wine you can sip easily.

Usually a Vodka or a Tequila, since there are usually individuals who will drink it. I like to bring a bottle of rum (Appleton Estates) to mix rum and cokes.

For one party, I brought a bottle of Ouzo, which brought out the Zorba in all of us. It was a surprise hit.

I would bring wine because you can drink that all night and not take in as much alcohol as if you were drinking hard liquor all night. Could keep from doing something embarassing!

I no longer use alcoholic beverages ... can't handle the hangovers anymore !
So, I 'd bring bottled water, tomato juice cans and coca-cola.
