It was the right thing to do. Now if Bush will just pardon those poor border guards who got 11 years for doing their jobs! That's when I'll be REALLY happy.

Why are you happy he's not going to jail? If you were convicted of breaking multiple federal laws, you'd go to jail. Martha Stewart went to jail for the same crime. Why should Libby be treated differently just because he's got friends in the White House?

Even though it gives the Democrats extra ammunition, I think it lacks good judgement on the President's part. I thought he'd wait until Libby had actually seen a jail cell.

I guess we should just commute the sentence of all the loyal citizens out there who committed crimes. It would free up a lot of jail space, too.

Not really. Since I don't know any of them personally, I am neither happy nor sad that Libby isn't going to jail.

Yea every criminal in the country is happy. Scooter Libby got away with outing a CIA agent. The moral at the CIA must be very high today.

Yes. Libby was the fall guy. But I am disappointed that the real culprits (Cheney and Rove) are not being held accountable.

No infact this is another example of Bush not thinking about the country he runs. What a dousche! If Scooter is not going to jail than he is not being punished to the full extent of his crime. Bush obviously doesn't care about national or any type of security for this country. All he cares about is HIMSELF!! It will be the day when he will no longer be able to sabotage this country of ours!!!

Oh yeah totally! Now I know that I can commit perjury, make false statements, and obstruct investigations and it will be TOTALLY OK!

Wilson makes a good point - what is the incentive to tell the truth when you can lie with impunity?

Until bush pardons the kid in GA, I'll hold out on feeling warm and fuzzy about the real perp pardoning his own fall guy.
