I had that problem several years ago. In my case the mouse had a short in it. I replaced the mouse and the problem went away.

In my case the curser did its own thing without any contact of the mouse.

Perhaps this is your problem

I have a lap top and also have a physical mouse as well as my touch pad if I use the mouse it stops the cursor self moving so if there is nothing wrong with your mouse it maybe a conflict check device manager it should tell you if there are any conflicts or of any faults, you could also try reloading your mouse driver

Check your mouse to make sure it is not going bad. If it's a wheel mouse, open up the wheel chamber and clean the two rollers the ball touches, or get an optical mouse. If you have an optical mouse, it could just be goofy or getting old.

If it's a cordless mouse that's a sign of the batteries running down. Or, if it has roller ball, try dropping the ball out & carefully scraping the crud off the little rollers inside.

YOU NEED TO REPLACE YOU MOUSE. YOU CAN BUY A ECONOMICAL ONE FROM ANY POUND SHOP. AND MOST OF THEM ARE FOR USB PORT. DONT BUY EXPENCIVE ONE AS MOST OF MOUSES HAS CERTAIN LIFE AND NO BENEFIT WASTING MONEY FOR SOME THING WHICH IS NOT GOING TO LAST LONG.

HOPE IT HELPS. IF IT DOES KINDLY GIVE SOME RATING TO MY ANSWER. MANY THANKS.

You have probably been feeding your mouse on ecstasy.
