right what do i need to do with the linksys wireless-g usb network adapter to make it connect to the linksys wireless-g broadband router and don't send answer's like follow the setup disk instructions because i don't understand it

I suspect your will not be able to understand anything anyone would write to you in response.

In fact if you cannot understand the manual which provides specific instruction, how can you understand general instructions? Your question is very broad - and really cannot be clearly answered.

Perhaps you need to hire a professional network technician.

hi
first if your routers is already installed on your main computer

your half way there

you will need the setup disk for the usb connector

go to your other computer(the one you want to use with the adaptor)

run the set up disk (all this will do is put the driver on the computer)

then at the bottom left you should see a greyed out square click that it will turn green
then a box will appear on the desktop
and it will ask you to scan for network
do this it will then show you your network click connect
and you should now be online

(p.s leave main computer on while you are installing the usb connector)

MAKE SURE U HAVE GOT THE RIGHT ROUTER FIRST. REMOVE UR CURRENTLY INSTALLED SOFTWARE. AND RESTART THE COMPUTER. ONCE RESTARTED. INSTALL THE SOFTWARE AGAIN BUT MAKE SURE YOUR USB CABLES ARE CONNECTED FROM YOUR ROUTER TO COMPUTER. WHEN YOU WILL BE DOING YOUR INSTALLATION A MESSAGE WILL COME ON SCREEN SAYING DO WANT WIRELESS SETTINGS TO BE INSTALLED YES OR NO. PRESS YES. ONCE THE WHOLE SOFTWARE IS INSTALL RESTART YOUR COMPUTER AGAIN. ONCE COMPUTER IS RESTARTED AND EVERY THING IS DONE TAKE YOUR USB CABLES OFF. GO TO INTERNET CONNECTIONS AND CLICK ON WIRELESS. THEN WINDOWS WILL DIAGNOSE THE SYSTEM AND WILL SHOW YOU WHAT NETWORKS ARE AVAILABLE. SELECT YOUR ROUTER AND CLICK ON SETUP. WINDOWS WILL ASK YOU COUPLE OF QUESTIONS ABOUT ROUTER SELECT THE ROUTER AND PUT THE SECURITY KEY WHICH IS LOCATED IN THE BOTTOM OF YOUR ROUTER AND PREOCEED. ONCE FINISHED PLEASE ALLOW YOUR COMPUTER FOR FIVE MINUTES AS SETTINGS DOES NEED A LITTLE BIT OF TIME TO GET EVERY THING INTO RIGHT PLACE. AND NOW YOU ARE READY TO USE YOUR NET. ALSO PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOUR WIRE LESS SWITCH ON THE COMPUTER IS SWITCHED ON AS WELL. GOOD LUCK MATE. IF IT HELPS PLEASE RATE MY ANSWER. MANY THANX.

You need to install the adapter software from the cd. From there, it automatically detect the base computer assuming you have named the computer other than linksys.
