No, the Explorer didn't have a cabin air filter and there are no other emmision system filters to worry about.

There might be a small filter inside the air cleaner housing that comes from the PVC system hose. If it's there, you can't miss it. Just take the air cleaner top off, and you'll see it immediately. But there are no others having anything to do with "air".
