I used to camp out for centre court tickets, and have seen some fantastic games, but now it is too fast, and the matches are won or lost on big serves. I wish they'd do something to the balls to slow it down again. That way the players would have to develop more skill in their other shots. It is just too boring at the moment!

I'm pretty much into it when they play that is, I like watching the women's because they have a wide depth of possible winners unlike the mens which will probably federer again and again... but Nadal is good I hate Federer because he's another Pete Sampras with all the talent but no personality. Tim Henman went out early and I know that some people won't watch after he's gone. If the weather was better then it would be better as well. This is the first time in about 5 years that I have actually sat down and watched all the matches. I like it again.

I love Wimbledon. Makes me think of summer (normally). I don't like the domination of fast serves. Perhaps if they have only one serve rather than two they'd play the serve slower as they have to be more careful. Then maybe people would get a look in rather than blasted off the court. Tennis is a game made up of rallies not just the serve. Call it Service otherwise and make it a whole new tedious game of its own.

The trouble with Wimbledon is that it comes on the heels of Roland Garros.
After the exciting dynamics of clay court playing it is hard to get into the swing of grass court playing..it is so CHOPPY! There is no momentum to the games. And the weather doesn't help. All those interruptions are hellish for viewers and the poor players!

What's the matter? Is Wimbledon pre-empting your Soap operas? It's the most traditional tournament of any sport. It's an unusual surface and harder to play on - and harder to practice on because there aren't very many clubs with grass courts. Of course if you don't like tennis... Wimbledon is boring. Personally, I can't see why anyone would watch GOLF. I just don't get it. But tennis? Very exciting.

I am mad about the rain delays at Wimbledon but it is not rubbish at all.

It is the most interesting and classical Grand Slam there is.!!!

Judging by your command of English, I don't think you can appreciate a true tennis Grand Slam tournament, let alone other tournaments.

But wait, unless you think Wimbledon is the only tennis tournament there is!
