And just do the job they are elected to do?

It seems they spend more time playing the blame game than listening to the one's who ELECTED THEM and voting on issiue's that matter.

Like everyone else before me, I also don't believe this will change any time soon.

I feel the media is as much a problem as anything else. Instead of a well researched and thought out report on what is going on in this country, in order to stay on top of events they are now reporting on a gossip column level that borders on rumor and he-said-she-said.

All that being said...ethics have become a back seat issue in favor of "win first; fix it later" by extremists on both sides.

As you said it's time...
But it won't happen unless a major event occurs.
I don't think the world needs another 9/11 but it seems that politicians only react to things when they are too bad to be ignored.Luckily there are honest people between them whatever their political view trying to work for the good of the citizens...

Love to but the repubs are feeling like a cornered alley cat right now, so it will be really tough for them not to attack the dems. I'm a liberal or dem whatever, and I would gladly vote for Colin Powell if he would run, there is dignity and a respected individual who would not tow the party line.

Absolutely. Won't happen though. Everyone does it. Just read the questions and answers on here. I don't see how this country will ever pull together as one.

If they did that, what would they have to talk about? Issues that really affect the citizens. Come on, would they really know how to talk about that stuff. LMAO.
