Most professors including business and engineering professors are liberal.
Two reasons. 1) Most people with Phds are liberals. Scientific polls have shown this. 2) Liberals care more about education/science and not as much about money.
====================
The researchers say that liberals, men and non-regular churchgoers are more likely to be teaching at top schools, while conservatives, women and more religious faculty are more likely to be relegated to lower-tier colleges and universities.
Top-tier schools, roughly a third of the total, are defined as highly ranked liberal arts colleges and research universities that grant PhDs.
The most liberal faculties are those devoted to the humanities (81 percent) and social sciences (75 percent), according to the study. But liberals outnumbered conservatives even among engineering faculty (51 percent to 19 percent) and business faculty (49 percent to 39 percent).

It depends on what "kind" of education your talking of.
Most people I know that have more than a 4 year degree are the biggest morons walking the face of the planet. Sitting in a classroom for year after year does not equal a well rounded education.
I heard an old man once say that being highly educated can make you the biggest dumbazz around.
But what really counts though? A piece of paper that says you studied well and passed? Something Libs hold in high regard. Or your entire life you can reflect on and be proud of? Something conservatives hold in high regard.
Most libs wouldn't be able to agree to the second part of that question.

"How come?" wouldn't exactly be the best way to phrase a question...try asking "Why are?....". If you need to ask why ALL your professors are liberals you just shot down your own question because you would already know the answer. Unless you are in a civics class you shouldn't even really know what your professor is. I thank God my Government and history teachers have all been non-liberal :)

Because liberals usually read about all perspectives, look for the weaknesses in different ideologies, then decide for themselves. Cons may read, but they seem unable to critique their own side. They're also often anti-science, which is an educational process.

There are all sorts of answers which can be suggested, most of which usually deteriorate into name calling.
But suffice it to say that the academic world is friendlier to Liberalism, while the business world is friendlier to Conservatism.
(Which is this Liberal's way of saying "We're smart, and they're greedy." But that is name calling.)

ColoradoBrew - ROFLMFAO business is NOT education. Education is much, much more. Business is learning to use the system to accumulate material wealth at the expense of others. It is learning to coerce people into buying things they don't need (usually young people). It is learning to exploit the resources and labor of third world countries. It is learning to export american jobs and rob retired americans of their pensions. It is learning to manipulate the stock market.
It is a whole lot more and none of it is good!
Most of your professors are liberals because there are many more departments in a college than the business department. Education is NOT about making money!

Academics are liberals because they have no clue as to what goes on in the real world. Liberals have no clue was to what is really happening in the real world. It has nothing to do with education. A PhD who has never worked outside academia has no experience with what really happens, so he or she continues the idiotic liberal worldview. However, a PhD who actually goes out into the world sees what is really going on and quickly becomes a conservative because being a conservative is the only intelligent response to the world as it really is

Most people in academia are Liberal because they tend to gravitate towards that field. Conservatives tend to go into business and entrepreneurship.

Don't forget that many liberal professors and department heads, showing their "open-mindedness", do not like to let conservatives into their ranks. They don't hire them, they don't support them getting tenure.
And when the belief that communism can work exists in academia, you have to conclude that book learning doesn't replace common sense or wisdom.
