Can anyone give me an example of an artist completely DEDICATED to their work?

Any type of artist is okay -- musician, painting, architecture, or perhaps just an inventor or scientist.

I would suggest that you look at the life and work of Norman Rockwell. Another person of immense dedication is Steven Hawking. Both had a real passion for their fields of work. Steven Hawking is still with us, but Norman Rockwell is deceased.
