I don't know if anyone knows the answer to this question but I was just wondering.

This was first reported as being early morning. e.g. 0730 hrs.
However, later research, backed up by hard evidence, points to a much later time. In fact 1930 hrs. It doesd make sense, giving time for all interested parties time to congregate at the appointed hour.
As it turned out the delegation were all present and correct at 1900 hrs. Tea was served to soothe the palate and help placate the tempers.
All was well in the end - duly signed and sealed at 1930 hrs.

It was written during daylight, for many days prior to July 4th, 1776. No one wrote at night if not an emergency because of the poor lighting.
