First of all and this may sound horrible, but that is something that is always going to be around kids can be cruel. I would love to shelter my son when he starts school. He has MHE and it is beginning to become very noticeable. I know kids are going to make fun of him, but the way I see it is if you teach your children not to be ashamed of what ever disorder or illness they suffer from, all the teasing will just help them become stronger.
I do agree there should be some type of punishment but like I said, it will never pass.

Yes, Parents should teach their kids to stand up and defend themselves. Bullies exist in the real world and the children need to learn to deal with them now. There isn't going to be a consensus around to protect them when they become adults.

Unless you re introduce corporal punishment there isn't going to be an end to bullying. Its terrible at the time, I was beat up several times at school, but the kids who did it are now all losers and I'm secure, confident and earning plenty of money. Look at all the successful people you know - most of them were the victims of bullies

something should be done,my son has been bullied for 2 years.not beaten up ,name calling and stuff. does the school act NO bullies have more rights than the victim, and usual excuse they have "problems". send them to me and I'll give them a problem. its about time we did something.

Box them upon the ears in front of the whole student body. Humiliate them non-stop. Let them start harming their own selves.

Don't like the bullies. Nasty, weak lot...

I assume by your picture that you're from the UK. In which case your kids have just lost hope.

Nurture those kids, instead of just punishing them when they do bad.
