How do you treat the less fortunate?

Do you give them a cookie or maybe some nookie? I mean they are less fortunate and it's your duty to make their lives better right? Me myself, I don't do anything to them and that is a good thing. They are free to wollow in their sorrow as far as I'm concerned. I mean, my actions would only add to their problems. What do you think I should do next time I see someone who needs my help?

If you are talking about my brother in law, I treat him with absolute disdain. He is lazy, won't go looking for a job so that my sister has to work two jobs to feed that slob and her two beautiful children.

depending how much you like the less fortunate, if hes your friend, then help him, as much as you can, because helping each other is what made humans so dominating.

If its a beggar, then simply ignore him, as always you can give him something to "show off" to the company you are with, but in reality MOST beggars put on dirty clothes and beg, in reality they have proper clothes, food, money, MOST of them even earn more than hard working people.
so simply ignore them and they will find a proper job, if you think hes a real homeless, which can be hard to know, but if your sure, then report him to the authorities (police for example) they should handle the homeless.
to test if they are real homeless, give them what they ask for
for example the homeless says "money for food" then give him a sandwich, if it says "money for medicine" then ask him what medicine?
you will notice mot of them getting angry at this because they want money, so they lie.

if the less fortunate is a boy who had severe burns or something similar and asks money, give him money directly "hand to hand" its the hardest but most rewarding way, or send him money if you want to make someone feel better, and in turn feel better yourself.

I would say, Ignore fake homeless, help unfortunate (if you can afford it), and never make people depend on you, its the worst thing you can do, your help should be one time only, and not for a lifetime

I am somewhat less fortunate,so, I treat them exactly the same way I would want to be treated.With respect and descency.Rich or poor we are all humans.A cookie and nooky may be insulting to some.
