Any time, you flatten a curved image, by virtue of photograph or mirror. The image in the mirror, or in print, always looks larger. An excellent example, is any publication, that illustrates full scale spheres as disks, e.g., ball bearings, shot gun pellets. The sphere, as illustrated, in a full scale facsimile, always appears much larger, than the actual sphere, you may be holding in your hand. You need to carefully lay the sphere on the disk, in order to make a proper size comparison.
Fashion models, have a reputation of being underweight because of this effect. The often heard quote is, "The camera adds ten pounds."
The color of your clothes, and the patterns on your clothes, has a pronounced effect, on how slender you look. Dark colors, make you look smaller than light colors. Narrow vertical stripes, make you look slender; wide horizontal stripes make you look wider.
This premise, is apparent, in bikini design. A woman with narrow hips, and relatively small buttocks, may want to wear a bikini bottom with large horizontal stripes, or a white bikini bottom. A woman with broad hips, and ample buttocks, may want to opt for narrow vertical stripes, or black. The same applies for the bikini tops and breast size.
Consider exploring your wardrobe and see, what makes you look heavier, and what makes you look lighter.

It's definately normal. I'm sure everybody has done it. I did it this morning, and got changed THREE times to try and change what i saw:) But in the end I went out wearing my bogan jeans and pink jumper... and had some fun, because that's what really counts.
And especially don't worry if you're eating good and exercising. I find exercise makes me feel better. I always get a bit of a lift after going for a jog. But after saying that...if you pig out of have a lazy week...who cares! Life is about more than making yourself look flash. If you spend too much time in front of a mirror...all you'll ever see is yourself:)
I'm sure you're beautiful! So don't worry too much.

The same thing happens to me when i look into the mirror, babe! =D Hehe...and its VERY normal, trust me. I'm sure your weight is completely right, as it is for me. Maybe, the problem is that there is a teeny weeny bit of extra fat that makes you feel weird.. So all you need to do is just exercise a bit so that you lose that extra bit of flesh and lo! you'll feel like a model....
But whatever you do, don't starve and start dieting cause often that just causes muscle loss, so you'll wonder how come you feel fat even though you've lost quite a bit of weight..and yeah, always feel good about yourself. (That's one VERY important thing =D )
So good luck, gurl!! I'm sure in a month or two you'll 'feel' and 'look' a LOT thinner! =)

its called body dysmorphia. Well, let me say, however, that there are levels to this---i mean everyone looks in the mirror and sees something they would like to change, THAT is normal. Being 5'8" tall and weighing like 70 pounds and truly seeing yourself as fat is body dysmorphia.

yes it is normal. you see, a little known secret is that the mirror industry has constructed mirrors that make you appear fatter than you actually are. the diet industry has given the mirror industry kickbacks over the years so they would keep doing that.

No matter what your body looks like you always think you would like it better just don't let it take over your life. There are other important things in life just keep it in perspective.
