It is just fodder for the anti Bush campaign. Having his sentence commuted is not the same as a pardon. With Clinton's pardon the record of the crooks was wiped clean. With Libby, only the prison time was removed , his record still stands and the fines still stand. The liberals just have this enormous hatred for Bush and will blindly complain about everything he does.

Because Clintion never really claimed any moral high ground to begin with. Also, not all were silent, if I recall. This is just more liberal v conservatives trolling, and it is ridiculous.
Besides... we're talking about a president that presided over the capital punishment of a retarded person now saying that the punishment for Libby was too harsh.
Say what?
Oh, and it is apparently OK to put drug dealers away for 40 years at a time, but 2 years for what essentially amounts to treason is simply "too much."
Really?
I agree that Clinton went on a pardon spree, but that is a moot point. We're not talking about Clinton. I don't have to agree or disagree with what Clinton did in order to disagree with what is happening now. That is simply illogical.
Also, I'm sure you can find a few conservatives that feel that justice was not done here. Stop all of this "liberals vs. conservatives" BS. You can't reduce every issue down to party politics, and you look uninformed when you try.
Hope this helps!

What happened to not bringing up the past? As far as that goes, drug dealers are drug dealers. They lead entertaining car chases on COPS, they serve their time. However, as bad as they are, they are not on the same level as treasonists. The biggest issue, however, is the fact that he had 2 1/2 years to begin with, and now he won't even serve that. It's pretty much an open invitation to let every undercover officer out of the bag.

Because 2 wrongs don't make a right.
Because these people are supposed to uphold the law, not use it for the advantage of their little circle. They are supposed to be in service to us. This isn't a tit for tat game, this is our country, our lives, our future, our children. And when one politician does something wrong, he should be punished, not set an example for others to follow. And if someone follows that example, he/she should be punished as well.
Maybe if there were more consequences for their actions then these things wouldn't happen so often.
