Better ban everything ever that is "potentially" dangerous. Cars exhaust is far more dangerous to your health than secondhand smoke. It is doing more damage to the environment than cigarette smoke. I don't see what the problem is with leaving the smoking policy up to the specific establishment. If one place allows smoking, you don't have to go there. Just as, if one place doesn't allow it, a smoker can go somewhere else. Do people not believe in compromising anymore?
I mean what's next, the state trying to say whether or not a person can smoke in their own home?

It works for me, being a non smoker working in a hotel. I've had over 30 years of being dictated to by you smokers!! Besides which, the ban is on smoking in public places!!!

Yes, after all people who smoke were born like that. Why would anyone choose to smoke if it wasn't a genetic trait? Look at all the social stigma attached to smoking. No one would ever choose to smoke.

Smoking secession programs are nothing more than torture. They should all be banned for cruelty. people can't change who they are anymore than they chose to be right or left handed.

Smokers should have rights too. We should not pay more for health care, more money should be spent on cancer research. People should not have fear of smoking in the workplace, and all smokeaphobes should be dealt with appropriately.

Well here in Colorardo, there's a no smoking ban. People can still smoke, only not inside public buildings. All smokers must smoke atleast 15 feet away from the entrances of public buildings.

I think its great it should be banned everywhere. What are you being dictated? Not to endanger peoples health with your secondary smoke? Not throw your cig butts out the car window and on the ground? Not to be rude? Ohh noo. Give me a break. Just admit you have a bad habit that you shouldn't subjugate others too.

We've had one in my city for a long time, then it became country-wide.

It was helped by one spokesperson in particular, a woman who worked at a restaurant that allowed smoking. She got lung cancer from second hand smoke, she never smoked a day in her life. But all restaurants were like that, so in order to work you'd have to risk it.

She's dead now, it was a sad day when she died because she touched the hearts of so many.

I say that if you want to smoke, fine, just respect the fact I like my air clean, and I definitely don't deserve to get lung cancer just because people like you want the convenience of smoking indoors.

You can risk your health but not mine.
