It is pretty sickening, almost makes me want to convert to Judaism

Am a Christian, but some composers / gospel singers do take things a little (?) bit too far - with all the shouting to high heavens and all the noise. I know that singing is supposed to have a multiplying effect on praying, but there's I think a limit to what is tolerable and sincere-sounding than phony faith. Besides, I still believe in the Bible passage of "not being like pharisees - showing all and sundry that they pray", and "going into one's room and pray".

I am a Christian and am sure that JESUS would love whatever kind of music we sung for HIM as long as it comes from our hearts in the purpose of praising and worshipping HIS name.

We may have different tastes in music but what’s important is we sung it for HIM and we mean it.

I really enjoy it. It depends on who is leading it and if they have someone playing it. What you may be thinking of as modern may mean something else to me? I have been in places where they try to play "modern" worship and just ruin it for me.

It doesn't matter what the song sounds like as long as it's sung from your heart. Any joyful noise of praise is music to God's ears.

Because everyone has their own taste. I do prefer classic hymns myself, but hey... whatever speaks to you!
