I've been hearing about this over and over again. Once you write things down or make a list of what you want then the universe somehow gives it to you.

It's so easy to just live...without really getting much done. I find setting myself goals and searching my own thoughts for answers really helps. When I start writing things just flow. And then...once you're tired of writing... I find that things seem just that little bit more simple.
But really...the universe will never just GIVE you anything. Especially not material things. I doubt you could write a shopping list and look in your fridge to find it full of food:) I'd say writing things down can help motivate yourself, and clear your head, but in the end...you're the one that has to take action and help yourself:)

HABUKUK 2: 3
There is really power in writing things down, for I have been doing so for quite some time.

Habakkuk 2
1 I will stand at my watch
and station myself on the ramparts;
I will look to see what he will say to me,
and what answer I am to give to this complaint. [a]

The LORD's Answer
2 Then the LORD replied:
"Write down the revelation
and make it plain on tablets
so that a herald [b] may run with it.
3 For the revelation awaits an appointed time;
it speaks of the end
and will not prove false.
Though it linger, wait for it;
it [c] will certainly come and will not delay.
It is also wise to write things down that you feel (in my case) the Lord tells you to write down, for when it comes to pass, you will know and recognise that it was indeed the Lord who was speaking to you. I call in journalling.

If say, you're Thomas Jefferson, and you write down the Declaration of Independence, then yes. Or if it's a grocery list.

writing helps but belief is the true catalyst. Writing it down helps you to remember direction you were heading when you began. goals change along the way and we get lost. Focus on goal as you would focus on light at the end of tunnel.
