Our ancestors got along very well without electricity, but I couldn't. The computer was considered a gadget. My grandfather thought the remote for the TV was a waste of money and time: "Can't people just get up and change the channel?" Electronic "gadgets" generally allow people to communicate with each other throughout the world. They become as necessary as electricity itself. If I could afford it, I would always have the latest "gadget."
