My favourite stadium is Anfield, so far, although I'm looking forward to Wembley in September and also we're playing in Hong Kong next month so I'll see what that's like.

As soon as Harry gets us relegated, or you lot come up again, I shall go to St Marys.....

I'd really like to go to St James Park, Middlesboro's ground's dupposed to be great too.

Unfortunately, I checked the fixtures against our base roster and the times I'll be free are all games/grounds I saw this time... Oh and the JJB stadium, which I have been advised is Not Great.

What do you think of St Mary's vs The Dell by the way?

Oh I HAVE to go to Emirates :-P Even if I'd have to sit with the Arsenal fans :-P

OK.. Old Trafford.... OK but a hell of a lot of stairs... Fratton Park... my stadium, small, dated but hey it's "my" ground so can't complain too much... Upton Park... not bad, have to say though that the toilets there were the cleanest of any... Craven Cottage.... not bad, meh... nothing more to say on that one.

I only started going to games regularly this season since making a friend who goes as often as possible to see liverpool... I'm hoping I can get to some of the grounds I want to see by going with them, as going with our games does not seem likely :-)

But what do I know, I'm only a skate, right ;-)

EDIT: AH... I agreed our ground isn't great but you cannot beat the atmosphere, as Stephen begrudgingly said. I disagree slightly that Anfield has the best atmosphere... I was there for the Liverpool v Sheff Utd game (4-0 to the pool, haha) and there was hardly any (admittedly we weren't in the Kop) but myself and a Man Utd fan in front of me were singing louder than anyone else. (well... I knew the words, he joined in where he could)

The best atmosphere I had at Anfield was my 1st game there (2nd game ever after a crap Worthington cup experience a few years previously) I was watching Pool v Portsmouth, having to sit in the Liverpool side.... it must have been great as I learnt most of the Liverpool songs that day (despite resolutely NOT singing along to them) and yeah it was great. I think Upton Park had a good atmosphere too... although I was sitting with the Scousers not the Hammers, getting vicarious abuse :-P Amongst their fans though it was almost as good as the Fratton end at Krap Nott Arf (I'll be nice heehee)

I added you back as a contact by the way, thanks :-)

I live abroad now, but the last Stadium I went to when I was last back in England was St Mary's, and I was impressed, very comfortable. I think, though that most new stadia are being built to this format. The end of floodlights at each corner is a pity, as it was always the first thing I looked out for when arriving in a new city.

Villa Park for the European Cup semi final against Anderlecht in 81 was special, size of ground plus atmosphere.

Just thought i would point out that huddersfields ground is called the galpharm. Darlingtons ground is a joke, 30,000 seats for a team that only get around 10% of that - its stupid! I have heard they want a new 10,000 all seater stadium because their ground is too big. I am a doncaster rovers supporter and im loving our new ground - the fantastic keepmoat stadium. anyone been?

As a fellow saints fan you could never beat the Dell for a fantastic atmosphere, very intimidating, but that was a while ago now.

Sadly not been to many away games (if only they were cheaper) but of the ones i have been to it hurts me to say this but Pompey have a fantastic atmosphere, the stadium itself is rubbish, decrepid and terribly placed but in terms of atmosphere is very good. Also liked Spurs and plymouth was quite a nice little stadium (but i might be biased as i lived there while at uni so went there several times)

For the sheer magnitude of the place, it has to be Old Trafford. The Theatre Of Dreams. It has played host to so many players and moments that make it head and shoulders above everywhere else. And I'm not even a Manchester United fan.

Most hilarious stadium : Darlington's new ground. A 30,000 capacity with a weekly average attendence of around 3,000.

At least you are guarateed plenty of space ...

the worst ground ive ever been to is swindown towns.. (what a dump)

my football team is Bristol city and our stadium was far too nice for league 1 (good job we won promotion)

as for the best ive been to i really liked highbury. just the way it was so huge compared to what surrounded it

Worst - Roots Hall Southend, the distance between rows of seats is inadequate (polite version). Best - West Stand at Highbury, plenty of room, padded seat, great view of the pitch (right behind the camera position for MOTD) and the Jumbotron.
