Why do my jeans loose shape, especially after a couple of washes and couple of months of wearing them? Aren't they supposed to be very durable? They tend to get loose, and especially around the back area, they no longer fits perfectly as the day I bought them.

Is there any way I can keep this from happening to my jeans?

It is how you launder them, I have a pair that are almost 20 yrs old and they fit me the same as the day I purchased them. I wash them inside out, with cold water cycle, I take them out of the dryer just before they are completely dry

"Good" Jeans should only strectch a little bit.. but it should not loose their shape. I believe.. specially in jeans. its what u pay for..

Otherwise.. buy a certain style of jeans that doesnt look ugly when they loose their shape. For example, a tight bootcut. While skinny jeans tend to loose around the knee areas.

For temporary results, wash ur jeans regulary in warmish-hot water.

Buy a good quality jean (worth the investment).
Wear them 4-5 times before washing, unless you're messy.
When washing turn inside out.
Dry on low to avoid shrinkage.

'Durable' refers to the way the fabric wears, not how it fits.

All denim, even stretch denim, does that. There's really no way to prevent it...just wash them again.
