Pretty well I guess. I mostly stick to drawing cartoons as I teach languages and I've developed a stock repertoire over the years, but I was in opera for a long time before and I was always working on sets and such. It seems that I pick up a lot of arts and crafts really quickly. I don't know if I have the eye for it or what but I always called on by my school for anything artsy craftsy. Last month I did a colored cardboard display of four fully-furnished miniature houserooms using an exacto knife cut-and-fold technique so all the room furniture rose up from the single cardboard piece. The houserooms had things like swinging doors and sink taps that turn, tvs, mirrors, shower doors, a toy box and a kitchen oven with a working oven door and a grill that I folded back to suggest an extra dimensional space of the oven interior. Two weeks ago I made Jedi and Darth Maul cloaks for a Nerf sword blindfold game of Star Wars for the kids to practice directional commands.
So every now and then I get called to do stuff and sometimes I just make it up. But I'm not a pro. To me it's all just parlor tricks.

Hmm, I'd love to create things with my hands and I can pretty much say i got a good eye for detail too, plus Im meticulous, or almost perfectionist. The thing is though, I think what matters when making arts and crafts is that you shouldn't care if it's sloppy or if the seams or edges are showing to the point that your project looks like it was machine-manufactured. The most important thing is that you enjoy each step of the way.
hey, go see The Science of Sleep. theres a character there who likes to sew things and makes stuffed things, and otehr crafts

Well enough that from time to time people pay me for my services. Right now I'm in the middle of painting 4 shirts by hand and each one takes several hours. It's a bit straining on the eyes.

This is a difficult question without sounding a bit like a braggart. I earned my living by being a professional floral designer.I know enough about hobbies and crafts where I can answer a lot of questions, but certainly not all. I think you would find me knowledgeable. That does sound bragging, doesn't it? I don't mean it that way.

When I Finish It is perfect.
I Knit, and Crochet.
If I make a mistake I tear it out and fix it. It drives the people around me crazy! they say, "No one will know"
Oh, but I would.

I do them WITH PASSION!!! :) I guess I've done them well enough to pass on the passion to my 3 kids... they all LOVE arts & crafts... even my son! And my oldest daughter is going to college to study graphic arts so I guess when you do something with passion, the passion comes through!
