Creatively, what turns me on is the response that I repeatedly get from people around me. An ordinary person that I am , I have always been writing simple notes , letters and views to people around me in the society. I have been amazed at the way these receipients respond, with love, affection and genuine warmth.
By cultivating this habot , now I am able to elevate this much more.
Spiritually I am turned on when simple truths are said with profound clarity. With this clarity if I see an actual situation I am moved completely.
Emotionally, I am turned at the drop of a hat, virtually. Poverty , sickness , helpless people, old age lonliness..... reasons are all round us .

Creatively: It would have to be a variety of things. One aspect of the world simply can't cut it. Urban things would inspire urban creativity and rural things would inspire rural creativity. But a mixture of urban and rural, or future and past; generally, a mixture of two extremes are the greatest inspiration for creativity.
Spiritually: Some people count their lives in years, months and days. And so time whizzes by so fast. I think if you can catch every single moment, every single fraction of a second, and appreciate that time like it was your last, somewhere inbetween you'll find your spirit. Also, I think the greatest truth is revealed in the most extreme situations. Your spirit is a wild thing, and exhilirating experiences set it free.
Emotionally: It's almost the same thing as above. But when your with family, friends or foe, take a moment to pause time and think about how you feel about them. When you can catch an emotion in those fleeting moments, that's when you'll understand what it really is, and be able to appreciate it better. It gives you a lot of insight. Sometimes, when I walk into a room and see someone I care about, if they commence to speak I silence them, and just capture the moment, that we are alive and we have the opportunity to share this emotion.
Follow your spirit.

Creatively, whenever I see a fine piece of work- a good film, a well-done website (I am a Communication Designer), it inspires me... to see something worthwhile done in my field always boosts me up (sometimes it does make me feel inferior although)
Spiritually, whenever I feel lonely or down, I pray (like all humans I think)... thinking about others & being selfless at times, helps me grow spiritually...
Emotionally, the feeling of love (to be loved & when others do things for me out of love) gives me a high... although, emotional upliftment is quite painful... I don't want to lose that love which feels so good...
the best time is when i completely happy & content... and these days are unfortunately very rare...

Over the years I've always gone back to the same well of inspiration as an artist, that being the human form. Although my work today has little to do with the geography of the human body it is a continual source of inspiration and renewal for me as an artist.

The people I meet. I always love to go out and meet new and different people especially when I travel abroad. This makes me think about new things cos they usually think differently, act differently, have different life philosophies etc...
Spiritually...it'd have to be texts about different types of religions and meeting with religious people of different religions. It's heartwarming and very nice when they know you're of a different religion, but talk to you normally and don't try to immediately convert you. They then talk to you about all the different things in their religion and some of them are very cheerful, much more than you'd expect.
Emotionally when I'm with someone I feel very strongly for (be it love, hate...whatever). It's funny how new the emotions you're feeling seem when you know you've felt them with someone else before. Also, when I'm sitting alone and thinking, meditating.

GOOD QUESTION...Actually, it is out of our conscious control. When we hear, see, or taste anything that makes us feel good, it's automatic. From the moment of conception your world has been mapped. Year, Month, Day, Time, Place. Then the two DNA entities that enjoy the big bang. Your questions are answers. Mind then tummy then adrenaline. These things kick start a chain reaction that makes you feel something called pleasure.

As a Christian writer I have found that many things will get the juices flowing.
The sorrowful whistle of a train piercing the night air.
The Lincoln Memorial.
Nature.
Along with many other things.
I am truly blessed.
