Some friend and I were having a little debate session one day and the question "If you are on birth control and a guy nut in you, can you get pregnant?" came up. Me personally I think you can get pregnant, but the others seem to think that you can't get pregnant unless you get off of the pill...Please Help!!!

You can absolutely get pregnant while on birth control. I was taking the Pill each time I conceived. (Good thing my husband and I wanted children eventually, otherwise it would have been quite a crisis!)

The only form of birth control that is 100% effective is abstinence.

no birthcontrol has been known to be 100% effective. even if your on the pill you can get pregant.

"With perfect use, the birth control pill can be as much as 99% effective. However, perfect use means remembering to take the Pill everyday at the same time and to be in good health, under the age of 35 and a nonsmoker. With typical use, the average failure rate is between 3 and 13% per year, depending on the type of pill you are taking."

Of course you can. Birth control (even the Pill) is only 99% effective - and even less so if not taken properly, or if you have an upset stomach, or other things.

NOTHING is 100% safe - except the word NO.

You can get pregnant on the pill, with the shot, because i did. I was on the pill and got pregnant with my first daughter. I was on the depo shot when I got pregnant with my second daughter. They always say that they are 99% successful. Use condoms with birth control and it helps.

The contraceptive pill is not 100%, my mother fell pregnant with me whilst on the pill and I fell pregnant the first time also on the pill although I think I forgot to take it for one day.

No guarantees. As with any protection (condoms, pills, etc) abstinence is best policy. Plus what about if the product is defective? In addition birth control pills don't protect from AIDS and STDs. Which kill numerous people yearly and deform children.

There is always a slight chance of getting pregnant...less than 1%. But the pill is generally effective.
