Please wait. I'm not going to preach and say you have to wait until marriage (although if you want to that's awesome!).... but just wait at least a couple more years. I am not married, but I chose to wait until I was 19. I am 27 now and not married yet, but I always always use protection!
I'm sure you have learned a lesson from your sister and your friend and it should be easy to see that you wouldn't want to make the same mistake, right? It just makes everything harder to have children at an age when you can't really even support yourself. I still feel like I can't afford it!!

I can't say I saved myself for marriage (it'd be painful if I did, because I'm 27 and still not married). That said, I don't have children either. There are some pretty good contraceptives out there these days & it's worth the time to do a bit of research if you do decide to have sex before you're married. At the end of the day, though, you have to be happy with your decision. If you feel sex is too important to engage in before you're married, then don't do it.

No matter what anyone says... you have to do what you feel is right. And by doing anything, knowing what the consequences are if you were to have a child. Seems like you already know right from wrong so do what you think is right. Just imagine if you were to have sex and have a child think of all the responsibilities and hardships you would have. You DONT have to save yourself for marriage. Just wait untill you are a little older and wiser and use safe sex methods!!!

I didn't save myself for marriage. I was 17 when I lost my virginity. I had this crazy idea that it was a shame I would turn 18 and still be a virgin. I think you are on the right track. Keep your morals and values clear to yourself. If you want to save sex for marriage then do it. I praise you for that.

Build a good life, find someone to share it with, and then think about kids... 32 is the average age when people have children in our country.
17? that poor girl, she has given up her chance at youth...

I didn't, but I had every intention of doing so at your age. Whether you do or not, the important thing is to be smart about it and stay on birth control and use condoms. That way you're far less likely to find yourself in a similar situation.

I didn't. I've saved myself FROM marriage.
Seriously, you should wait because you're 16. Marriage has nothing to do with it.

If you don't want to wait until marriage (and there's nothing wrong with not waiting) just INSIST your partner use protection (a condom).
You can also take "the pill".
Having sex doesn't mean having to get pregnant.
And no, I didn't wait.

I didn't wait until marriage, but I did wait until I was older to understand the risks.

Save yourself....I didn't and had one at 17. It has been rough, though I survived. But some aren't as fortunate as me.
