Money gone! YOUR VALUES AND MORALS...HERE!
You tried to help someone, and you got screwed. Life lesson is done, and now you will be more cautious about who you lend money to.
DO NOT let that change who you are!
There are people who will take advantage of the favours that you give.
(Dah, obviously!)
However, that should never take away your character, personality, or trust in someone you believe in,
to be a true person. All have the potential.
Keep your guard up, of course. But don't give up your caring nature. There are few in this world that decide to give, because of the distrust which resulted in "being burned."
Ramble, Ramble! I know! Sorry!
What I would suggest...Never lend an amount of money to someone, more than you would spend on trying to win the lottery.
And keep your good heart!

Depending on how much you are out of pocket you should consider the following.
If a lot contact the police.
If a lot or not and you can afford the financial implications treat it as one of life's learning curves.
We all fall for some con at some time in our lives but you will get over feeling like a fool and hurt at the same time.
Just make sure all of your friends and family know (as embarrassing as that is) in case he is conning them too.
If you are strong enough go to the press and expose this man.
So, pick yourself up, brush yourself down and start all over again.

2/3 year ago, I did not feel bad about these things. Rather to help out the people I myself always ready to be taken for a ride. For example, in my first job, there was a receptionist whose family situation is not very good and she looked always depressed. To make her laugh, happy, I always let her make a fool of me to create funny situations. Or I created such situations that she could pull my leg and have a laugh. In this way, she was having great time occasionaly at my expenses.
If somebody ditched me, back bite me, double cross me, I did not feel so bad. I myself gave them execuse for their deeds.
But now, I am so careful that nobody can take me for a ride.
I feel very bad and make sure that I reprimand the guilty person. If there is no genuine regret of such part, I break all ties.

how could you believe him?that's very nice that you helped him with good intention and wholeheartedly. But these kind of people should not be trusted. Many times these kind of people came to my home and pretended themselves as handicap just to fetch money.you know what...they have more money than we people have.I always showed them a door politely.I never trust them.they are less genuine creatures. In case you feel a person is actually in need then whatever a person want get it on your own in front of your eyes.SO..there is nothing to curse yourself.its just that be care full while handling them.
GOD BLESS!!!!!!

I would hate myself but the person who was the fraud more. I'd just report them to the police if it was serious and go to court OR (this is way more like me) I'd just move on and be like 'Whatever, loser.'

Luck knocks the door only once.. Unluck knocks till u open it........ We cannot change anything until we accept it. Condemnation does not liberate, it presses..........Welcome anything that comes to you, but do not long for anything else..........People only see what they are prepared to see...........Man is the only creature that refuses to be what he is.........

That has happened to everyone, in one way or another. I was embarrassed, but I tried not to think about it.
