Taking it out physically by doing a hobby. Like playing a sport. I really like to play tennis or badminton to let my anger out. You could whack the ball as hard as you can and treat it as your enemy. I also like banging on piano keys and then playing a calming or relaxing piece.

i once saw this somewhere, in order to release your deeper anger and/or hatred, the guy throws these worthless cheap plates and dishes and whatnot onto a brick wall, and voila. i tried it once, and it did help, it was just one plate though, but it wasn't really cheap. just the sound and sight of it, a plate into a thousand little pieces and the smash, it's strangely therapeutic. strangely.

OR to be less strange, shouting with pillows covering your mouth could also work, plus, you wouldn't be embarrassed if the neighbors are around,

OR as seen in movies, give the pillow your best box.

there are tons. there are just consequences to lots of them

exercise and meditate then after you have found some composure maybe a few days later or whatever time buffer you need address the issue or person in a civil manner with a civil tongue.if you can't find the attitude adjustment or patience for civility you will only make things worse.

Telling someone how you feel or beating up a pillow works too. But do not use words or write things down. They can never be taken back.

Use a punch bag as the boxers do. Think of the person you hate while punching it.
