I am gay, and I have a crush on my best friend. He's straight. He knows that I'm gay, but he doesn't know that I like him. I somehow fell for him trying to get over another crush that I had on his friend. Even though I hope for it, I know that it will never ever be. The question is, now, how do I get over him?

I've tried looking at other gay guys, but they just do not seem like my type. I was kind of hoping to find someone like my friend. I'm not really into the whole effeminate thing, but i am willing to put up with some metro tendencies.

anyways back to the point,
search for a boy intrested in the same "species"
meaning, another gay boy.
you will easily fall for someone else and completely forget about the feelings you had for your friend.
just dont scare your friend off by telling your feelings, he might get a little scared, i assume.

Don't do it. You will loose his friendship. You are putting him in an acward position. If you don't loose his friendship at least it will not be the same, I can assure you that. If you are a true friend and you know he is not gay, there's no business for you there. You need to find other friends or make friends that are gays. A straight person can be friends with gays, but when you cross the line, it's not appreciatted. it's very uncomfortable, and they don't feel the same. As they respect who you are, you need to respect them also.

Why did you let yourself having a crush on your straight friend,if you DONT wanna lose him as a FRIEND get your feelings under control and talk to yourself....if you wanna find out this friend might have feelings too ,you risk the friendship

look everyone has a gay side... i once had a huge crush on my totally stright Neighbour but i got him and now i cant make him stop ( it would work better if he didnt know ur gay) anyway try to give him smiles and look at him but dont creep him out look at him softly ..try to talk about his personal suff be a good listener .....u'll get him...& if these things didnt work theres always beer

You know some straight boys do allow some stuff so why not talk to your friend, though you know better then to expect anything permanent.

You should feel lucky to have someone as a friend that you care for so much. I wouldn't bring it up he might feel uncomfortable and then you could loose out on time spent together...Just put him in your "spank bank"...lol..
