It is hard but all the people that called their own king great is a rare event. Alexander was called great. and only one British King was ever called Great, Alfred. Canute also but that is only by half accounts. so if The great is associated with them you can bet it was well thought out.

I would say Louis XIV of France because he reorganized the government and helped his country's economy by having foreigners come in to teach them how to make better things. Quality is sometimes better than quantity. Who would want jewelry that was made awful and quick instead of being made perfect and with knowledge and expertise? :P
