im doing an essay and i need three reasons why people might not wear them, thanks.

First, I always wear mine.
Reasons I've heard for not wearing them: (And why I disagree.)
1. Too confining. (A full body cast is worse.)
2. Danger of being trapped in burning or sinking car. (Far outweighed by more likely danger of being killed from being ejected.)
3. They cause uneven wear on shirt or blouse. (Shoulder harness) (Shirts are relatively cheap. Long-term medical care isn't.)
4. Air bags are all the protection you need.
(They aren't. They help a lot with protection from impact, but being restrained makes air bags far more effective and safe.)

One reason I hear a lot of when it comes to seatbelts and those who don't wear it is that they find it to be too confining, and some of them worry that with one on if they get in to an accident they may not be able to get out of the car.

Laziness..not wanting to take the time to put one on...
Ignorance..believing they are in more danger from their seatbelt not allowing them to escape in an accident...

I ALWAYS wear mine. But I've heard people say...
- they're uncomfortable
- just forget
- a hassle
- 'they do more damage to you than hitting the dashboard'...which is a load of crap

1)seat belts can be uncomfortable; 2)people are lazy & complacent, and 3) they think, "oh I only going to the store a few blocks away, nothing will happen to me."

Pregnancy, over weight, Health reasons, claustrophobia, chest pains, delivery person, bus drivers

1) they dun hv one
2) they think it's childish 2 wear it
3) they 4got
4)they h8 2 do so
5)they dun like it.. :D

they think its cool not to wear them
they forget
