Yes, it is good. Imagine 6 billion people working together to build a better society. And any society that wishes to not be a part of will fall back into the dark ages because it has to manufacture the goods it needs by themselves. Globalization also brings out the best in social values. It brings TV, mobile phones, camera, internet. With this it crushes away at the old out dated ideas and brings in the new world ideas. Women's right, racial equality, education for child, higher living standard, better medical treatments. The only draw back of a free society is that people have the right to not goto school and join gangs. Only the societies that does not have democracy, capitalism and freedom of speech that miss out on globalization.

Globalization means the greater exchange of ideas, trade, and investments among the world's countries. It is hard to see how this can be bad. However, opponents of globalization seem to believe that this will result in the increased domination of the rich countries aided by their multinational companies over the poor countries of the world. The rich will continue to exploit the poor of the world.
In fact, opponents of globalization are small special interest groups in the rich countries that are trying to protect their privileged position even though this hurts the general public. For example, the 2 percent of the US population that are farmers are trying to protect themselves against increased imports of agricultural products from the poor countries of the world.
The small percentage of the US workers that belong to a union (I think the figure is now about 20 percent) are trying to stop the importation of cheaper products from poor countries because this reduces their ability to demand high union wages. These high wages may benefit union members but they hurt non-union workers.
This is a classic case of where most Americans will benefit from globalization though a small minority will be hurt. The small minority band together in order to influence Congress that increased globalization is bad.

About 1/3 of mankind lives in China and India and it has been good for them as well as many other poor countries in the world.

What is less clear is its effect on the working class in the developed countries. Stolper Samuelson theorem predicts that unskilled labor in industrialized countries will lose income share from increasing trade.

The growing income inequality is the US and to a lesser extent in Europe seem to support this theory.

globalization is really a positive idea if practiced fairly. what i mean is in terms of business, there must be no hoarding and all access must be open not only for the limited few but for all races. there must be no racial discrimination so everyone will prosper according to his capacity to share whatever.

It is simply irresponsible to say that globalization is plainly bad or plainly good. there are pros and cons when it comes to this issue. globalization tend to the world more open to almost everything especially when it comes to product trade, but globalization tends to kill small enterprise
