After being the oldest player listed in any Superbowl lineup - at the age of 44 (Falcons) - he went off to coach some Arena ball.

I have heard rumors that he's coaching in the NFL
(a know it all colleague)
but I couldn't tell you where or with whome.

I answered this mostly because when Steve played for the 49ers...I wrote to the team and asked for a try out so that I could replace him. I was 16 at the time. Thank God Joe Montana appeared...I never got the try out...

He played he last year under the falcons, as a backup role in 1998, who ended up in Super bowl 33 however he did not play.

He spent some time in arena football as a coach for five games (in 2004), but didn't win any of them.

Every team in the league already had at least one shi**y QB so
nobody needed DeBerg. I remember Bill Walsh saying that " DeBerg is just good enough to get you beat".
