It sounds to me like you're not wanting the whole "commitment". I've been through a marriage and out of one so I think I have some room to talk.
Marriage, although mine ended badly, it hasn't soured me for possibly doing it again, but with the right person.
What you have to gain is spending the rest of your life with someone you love. And if you two are in love and get along really well, then there would be no need for her to play "warden" with you. Regardless of what some men say, there are women out there who don't act like that. As for the unecessary bills, that should be a two way street. If you're married, the bills would be something you will have created TOGETHER. As for children.....again,,,that's something that you'll create together, therefore that should be agreed on TOGETHER. Some people want kids and some don't. That's a choice you need to decide on, and find a woman who agrees with your choice, so no problems there if she agreess with your decision right?
Marriage can be a beautiful thing and you don't have to necessarily "gain" all of the above that you listed. A marriage is what YOU make of it.

To begin with, what gains can be expected from the execution of a loosing proposition?Smart accountants call these as 'Negative Gains', to balance the Books.I prefer to call such gains as 'Notional Gains, which practically means that they appear to be good enough gains, convincing too but there is nothing to carry home or to put in the pocket. Now to add to the list. It's an insurance policy for which one pays life long premiums, has no maturity period and ZERO coverage for all the risks and sufferings.A loose-loose proposition to the insurer and a win-win award to the other party.Fairly Unfair or Unfairly Fair?

Gains:
- a lifelong partner who will stand by you through the dark times; not just the good times.
- someone who - sexually - learns how to push all your buttons. And if you do it right and share all your fantasies, someone who can give you sex superior to any other.
- Kids? You don't have to spawn any if you don't want; and you shouldn't spawn any more than you can afford/support.
- A warden? Ha-ha-ha-ha....Mistress on occasion, perhaps. You aint doing something right.
- Bills? Single people I know have more bills than we do, simply because they ARE single, they go into credit card debt buying a bunch of "toys" they cannot afford. I no longer make mortgage/rent payments or car payments. Learn to manage your money.
- With marriage, you don't have to worry about getting STDs and herpes is one of the most common. You get it - you got it for life. Nice, eh?
- No dating pool mind games! My wife and I don't mess with each others' minds; we just enjoy life and enjoy pleasuring each other.

WOW!!!!!! I really feel the hate going on with you. I am really sorry for that. It is possible to find someone that you just jive with. Everything does not have to be perfect, after all none of us are perfect. Part of a relationship is willingness to make it work and laughter. Then there is trust and loyalty. If you are not willing to do that, you do not need to be in a relationship. If being alone makes you happier, then that is great. Good luck...

Assuming he/she were the right ones:
- A solemate that can understand everything you feel without even saying it, it is not the same as having a freind, sister, brother , a mother or a father.....no one can replace a husband/wife.
- Someone you can lean on , knowing that he/she are not expecting anything as a pay back
- Someone you can tell to your fears , emotions, worry ,... without having a second thought

Flavio, when you are in a commitment, you dont see the gains and losses. You have duties to fulfill, responsibilities for your kids. You think for yourself lesser and more for your family. This commitment keeps you bound and going. This is life, make the fullest of it by being happy......All the best.
