It's like zebra's are part of the horse family, hippos are part of the pig family, lions, tigers are part of the cat family, wolves, foxes and coyote's are part of the dog family.

Which family do we belong to?

nope. we came off a different tree entirely than the monkeys. there are many trees that led to many species and ours is entirely seperate from the monkeys. it's just a fact like it or lump it. and it has nothing to do with evoulution or religion...dangit.

You've got hierarchical biological divisions,
Species-> Genus-> Family-> Order-> Class-> Phylum-> Kingdom

Humans and Apes are part of the Hominid family. There are 260 or so known species of monkey, but they don't form any coherent biological family. Monkeys, Apes and Humans are all in the Primate Order, which is part of the Mammal Class, in the Chordata Phylum (subphylum Vertebrates), and finally part of the Animal Kingdom.

Apes and humans are primates. We have a lot in common. Some people are more like apes than others.

It doesn't really matter which way we call it - its the same family.
