There are currently 7 insurance companies offering CTP green slips.

Purchase can be made via phone, internet or in person.

As mentioned, aim for the cheapest.

Greenslip prices are dependent on the Insurance company, not where you are. An NRMA greenslip will cost the same in Port Macquarie, Sydney or Broken Hill. Ring the various insurance companies and ask them their greenslip prices. You will find there is not a lot of difference between them. Take the cheapest.

Port has great beaches and great weather. It is a tourist town so there is lots to do. I haven't been there for a couple of years, but there is at least 1 nightclub and lots of pubs. Panthers used to have a branch in town, but I'm not sure if it still does. There is a reasonably large population of retirees.

I shopped around and found the NRMA at Port Central by far the best value, and it was even cheaper because I have my comprehensive insurance with them. Hope this helps.
