I am planning on having my children to have matching middle names. Not all the same middle name but their names to go with a theme like places, or names from nature. Can you think of any other themes that I could use for names? & what is your opinion about theme middle names... is it a good idea?

Yeah that's a neat idea. Do a theme like:
colors: Violet, Sage, Amber, Rose, Sienna, Forrest, Tanner
cities: Paris, Venice, Madison, Dallas, Austin, Helena
plants/flowers: Rose, Sage, Ash(ton), Jasmine, Hazel, Kale, Heather, Oakley, Basil, Forrest
Music: Cadence, Aria, Lyric, Harmony, Melody
Sport: After favorite athletes or Stadiums (ie: Shea, Camden, Jacob)
Surnames as middle names
Palindromes: Anna, Otto, Elle, Bob, Ada, Ava, Hannah, Eve, Nadan
Maybe even a country of origin: like give them all a Japanese middle name or something.
Hope this helps and Good luck.

I think a theme is great.

My sister had a theme of her three girls had names of their greatgrandmothers.

My boys were family names. My daughter has a middle name in honor of my cousin who died in childhood.

i don't know about theme's but i was always told that middle name's are to Honor other relatives. like your grandmother or grandfather's name. usually you can pick your favourite relative that really had a hand in raising you or who has touched your heart, a strong loved one. there is no greater Honor then to name your child after a favourite relative. why? because the memory of your loved one will live on forever in your child. also middle name's are also for christian baptised name's that you chose, usually biblical. or a name of the god mother or father that you have chosen. assuming that you are christian of coarse. I think first name's, you can wing those. what ever catches your fancy. i think that name's are not to be taken lightly. there should be great consideration in the naming of your children. oh and PS i think that for the first name's naming them after the American state's can be fun like Montana. Dakota, Carolina,Boston,Texas,Florida,Georgia. to name a few. good luck in choosing

I think the places theme would be cool, for example:

Roman
Dallas
Austin
Maddison
London
Phoenix

I also really like the nature theme, like names such as:

Hunter
River
Autumn
Fisher
Falcon

weather or not it's a good idea I think it would be geat if you like it. I personally do, so I say go for it! :D

I don't know exactly why you would think a theme would be a great way to name your baby. You have to think that your children will be saddled with their names their whole lives. Wouldn't you rather give them a name that has a great meaning that you'd live them to live up to? My husband and I picked our 3 children's names because they were beautiful, but also because they had wonderful meanings. Our first child is Gabrielle Rose. Gabrielle means "God is my strength." Our son is Caleb Michael. His 2 names together mean "faithful one like God." Our third child is Hannah Grace. Hannah means "full of grace." Those are names I hope my children live up to.
