Hi Judas haven't seen you around for awhile. My dad has to take into consideration my feelings too, I don't like to be hurt all the time.
For instance I brought my mom's nephew with us to the flea market, and he got for him lots of toys, a big bag full.
My kids were in Egypt I went to visit him and my mom and couldn't bring them along, but did he get my kids anything for my kids, NO!
And he kept saying how cool Frankie is (mom's nephew) excuse me but what about your own grandchildren.
Dad has PTSD and never shows emotion for his own kids, only for others. I was supposed to be not seen and definately not heard. I think its ok if I do say I love him but I will not continue to be treated like that. Respect is a two-way street.

This is the most touching thing I have read today.
Enjoy everyday you get to spend with your dad. For you to have just written this on yahoo answers means that you do care alot about your father & he does you.
I love my father very much even though he is gone now.

I didn't find out how much my dad really loved me till after he died. His spirit came to me (while I was awake) and asked
"Can you forgive me for the way I raised you?" I said "Yes" And as he faded away he smiled and took all the pain of my childhood with him... And for that I thank him....
