my brother has a problem. he often speaks while sleeping and saying rude words out of his control, even when he doesn't want to do so. any suggestion how to stop this bad habit?

He may not want to say them consciously but in his subconscious mind, he is interested in saying. So, in sleep, he will keep saying those words.

Hypnosis may help him.

Out of the gambit of solutions to inconcious conduct none work immediatly. If you run this across your brother then he will have the representation of the behavior in two places. One is ideational factor that has stored in the memory an activity. The other is the activity that your brother has participating without realizing it. Someday those two will come together where he realizes what he is doing. But still that doesn't mean that he will stop doing this. Many of us are aware that what we do is wrong and we know how to do better but we don't. Very few actually do manage to transcend this and move on up the road to a clean and happy behavior. Or... you can tell him to quit or your going to beat the cr..p out of him. There is lots of ways.

I suggest hypnosis. I know, that sounds strange, but it seems to work for a lot of people.
