I've been to the Magic Kingdom in late July and it's hot, humid, blindingly sunny (with normal afternoon showers) and extremely crowded. This is prime family time for visiting the parks because kids are out of school for the summer. Take an inexpensive rain poncho with you because they are expensive at the parks (dollar stores and Wal-Mart have them for $1.00 or less).
The only pro I can think of is that you won't get cold. Cons -- well, there are many, but it sounds like you're going, so have a great time! And use the FastPass system. It's free and works wonders at reducing the wait time on many of the most popular rides!

Well I guess it's too late.....
As someone who's done both the summer and off season, off season is really the only time to go. A good test (if you are in the US and you have kids): Are your kids missing any school to go? If the answer is no, then it's the wrong time to go.
It IS possible to enjoy yourself there if you can bear the heat, humidity, daily afternoon thundershowers, and enormous crowds of people from all over the world.

It's probably the busiest month but it looks like you'll start out there in the middle of the week which is way better than a weekend. Get there early if you can. We would go back to the hotel for a break in the worst heat of the day and go back for the evening. Have fun!

One word... nightmare. Its going to be HOT, it's going to be packed with tourists... mostly from other countries who don't understand how a LINE works and smell bad. It's going to rain once a day in the late afternoon. If your LUCKY we won't have a hurricane during that time period. Traffic is going to be horrible. I guess what I'm trying to say is I would avoid coming to Orlando in July (I would avoid it the other 11 months too but ESPECIALLY in July). I agree with the other answerer too, that other Disney parks are WAY nicer than Orlandos anyway..

Very hot and crowed during those days. You might want to spend a good portion of your time in the water parks. Blizzard Beach and Typhoon lagoon are your best bets as far as Disney. There is also a wet and wild close to Universal Studios.

Ok yes it's going to be hot and very busy during that time but who cares...YOU'RE GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!!!!! We used to go every year on the 4th of July and the crowds and heat never stopped us from having a great time. I guess it just depends on your personality. Our family is full of "go getters" no matter what so we didn't care at all.

It's going to be incredibly humid, and probably very crowded. I went to Disneyworld one year in March and it was perfect. The weather was great and the crowd wasn't too huge.

Nothing personal, but disneyworld sucks. You would've been better off saving a little while longers, and going to Disneyland in california. It's much better. But disneyworld is insanely crowded all year long, so try to get there early in the day, around opening time, or you'll be stuck in a lot of huge lines.

Look out for the heat! It's gonna be hot. And with 99% of kids out for school till mid-late August--expect long lines every dam where...not to mention CROWDED!!! And that inculdes the scores of "special needs" people that test your patience....and grit your teeth thinking about that cherished "Brady" bill.
Expect prices to jump too.....after all, there's profits to be made here!!!!
Pros? Well.....hummmmm.....hey: you can have the hotel pool pretty much to yourself during the peak AM hours, when crowds are flocking to see the rat....er....I mean......Mouse!!
