I read in an article that the Blazers waived Steve Francis and he's still a free agent. There are rumors that the Clipper's have a good chance of getting him because of his close relationship to the players on that team. If the Clipper's do get Steve Francis, I will be REALLY happy.

that is possibility that I hear...if Portland buys out his contract then look for Clippers to make a serious pursuit of landing Francis...not sure how much he got left but he would help out the Clippers no doubt.

Dear Daniel K,

The rumor off course is that Francis would land with the Clippers because Cutino Mobley is his best buddy from their Houston days.

If you remember after Francis was dealt- Mobley left for Sacramento on a free-agent contract- because he was upset that his buddy Francis had been dealt away. They could be re-united.

Same sh!*, different day. Francis is a distraction in the locker room and he ballhogs. Hope Francis lands a stint back in Houston because that was where his glory years were. I would like to see how he thrives in the system of Rick Adelman.

I'm also hoping that Francis will come back to the Rockets.

I couldn't imagine how devastating the Rockets will be with Francis, T-Mac and Yao.

I would like to see Mobley and Francis again. If only they could still throw those alley oops haha. Francis can still get up from time to time...

the only other nba athlete that i can recall that's gone from being a superstar (or near-superstar) to almost falling completely off the radar faster than stevie franchise is penny hardaway.

francis hasnt been able to do much since he got traded to orlando 3 or 4 seasons ago.

the guy WAS talented...it remains to be seen if he can get over his injuries and regain his talent.
