I was sleeping in my bed when the twin towers were attacked, as well as the pentagon. I woke up to the news about an hour after the planes had already hit. Needless to say I was pissed, not frightened like they wanted me to be.

However, the world REALLY stopped turning when Alan Jackson and other country singers, not to mention various businesses, began to capitalize on everyone's grief and anger.

I was working, and I got a phone call from my niece telling me about it, I got chills up and down my spine and just froze. Then I told some truck drivers that were in there and some had just heard it on the radio.
That song by Alan Jackson brought tears to my eyes when I first heard it. It still makes me stop and think.

I was in a motel room. It was about a month after my wife and I had split up. My daughter called me and said to turn on the TV. My room faced the 405 freeway in OC, and that evening there was very little traffic on it. It gave me a very strange feeling.

I just got out of the shower and turned on the TV. Then I went to work, where CNN was on the TVs all day.

I was driving to college class and listening to the radio. They began to describe what was happening in NYC and I thought it was a dramatization for a while before I realized it had actually happened.
