That is utter superstitious nonsense.
How about seeing if the two people in question (you?) have similar tastes, get on well and and like each other.

At first glance, a Cancer/Sagittarius relationship seems like a mismatched pair. Sagittarius is a wild and crazy sign that likes adventure and excitement, while Cancer’s are more down to earth and like steady reliable things like family and friends. Sagittarius may seem to daring too a gentle Cancer and Cancer may seem too quiet for an outgoing Sag. But, if both of them are willing to learn from the others needs and desires, this pairing can form a strong and lasting union.

Most resources will tell you that it's an insanely bad match because Cancers love security and Sagittarians are fiercely protective of their freedom. Cancers are hurt really easily and Sagittarians tend to be too blunt (without realising it). If it's just a casual relationship, it'd be difficult to really get along but if both people are a bit more mature and sick of playing games, then it's a great match. Sag girls are total fools when it comes to love and we get tricked easily -- and luckily, a Cancer man doesn't usually enter a relationship for the purpose of fooling around. So LOTS of patience (Sag) and tolerance (Cancer), cut down on the random roadtrips to no-where without calling for days (Sag), create lots of breathing space (Cancer) and it has the potential to be a fantastic long-term relationship.

It's hard to say completely without Ur other two signs( moon sign and rising sign) but looking at just Cancer and Sagittarius. I'd have to say as long as the freedom loving Sagittarius can deal with Cancers mood swings and need for solitude you should be o.k .again if Ur moon or rising is n an earth or water sign you might not be so freedom loving and if his moon or rising is in an earth sign he could be less moody which would help.
P.S if you want to know Ur moons and rising signs u need to know these things for the both of u; time of birth, D.O.B, and birth place.

Well, I am a Cancer woman and I once briefly dated a Sag. man we got along pretty well. I have a Sag. rising sign so that may have to do with us getting along so well. I think that if you're into a very blunt person then go ahead with and try it. (one of my closest friends is a Sag. and she does not lie at all!) If you're one of those sensitive Cancer men, then I wouldn't do it. Happy b-day by the way!

my husband is a cancer and I'm a sag. sometimes he is such a homebody it drives me crazy, but he also gives me the freedom i need. cancer men are very loyal and I think that helps keep us sags grounded, for we tend to be flighty at times. overall i'd say we are a good match, but with any relationship it takes work.

Sags can hurt your feelings, and on the Sag point of view they find the Cancers are too gentle.----so would say no.
