It doesn't have to be boyfriend/girlfriend. Family members count too.

Not always. I am stubborn. I try to be forgiving, but like the fight I had tonight with him he dug up some old wounds and I feel it is he who needs to apologize, not me. He was intentionally hurtful, and I am having a hard time with that.

Yes I am usually the one who apologizes first even if it wasn't my fault.

Almost always...I find that is the best way to clear the air in my house. I have a very stubborn husband sometimes but if I apologize first he is more likely to follow. And before you know it we are making up down and out!

Yep. I am the one who apologizes first even if it was started by another person. I end up feeling guilty even though it was not my fault.

I have a hard time apologizing and it bothers me, When I know I'm wrong I beat myself up about it but never let on to anyone,, I feel guilty for being a hard @ss, and I know I screwed up and I have the ability to fix it but it's like I'd rather chew nails than admit I wrong...
That's something I know I have to work on!

It does not hurt any one to apologize even if your not at fault. because you see you no your not and that is all that matters. You don't have to try and convince any one your not. (not unless it is a matter that would hurt you in some way).

I apologize all the time. he's got pride issues so he doesn't apologize too often, but both of us are more action oriented (fixing the problem) rather than trying to make false apologies.

I used to but I don't anymore because they keep doing the same thing over and over and expect me to apologize.

I apologize if I lose my cool when I speak my mind.but I feel that I have as much right to have my way about things as anyone.
