whether there is a god or not i do not wanna know. think about it lets suppose there is a god. so now everyone will be forced to abide by his word in order to gain entry into heaven or whatever u believe in and that means we cant do all that fun sinful **** that humans like so much lol. but if there isnt a god then all hell will break loose. its bad enough already with a limited numberof decent people in da world so now imagine a world with no one caring for anyone else. i think that instead of god we should believe in something we can all believe in, something powerful, something beautiful... love. And sorry if i didnt answer ur question i just couldnt pass up da opportunity to get dat off my chest

A "god" by whose definition?
In 1972 the translation of the Koran that I read stated that Adam was the first human to comprehend God -- and not the first human.
This Adam also was the first one to be "self-conscious" -- which is hinted at when He and Eve "knew not that they were naked" until they made choices that created "guilt" and in-turn activated their sense of being "aware"; ie., they "hid" and covered themselves.
Also, if you read Genesis very carefully you will discover the possibility that this "Adam" that the GODS (Elohyim) created in their image was NOT "a man".
The scripture reads that "male and female created he them -- and called THEIR name "Adam". (Hint: Eve wasn't created yet.) The word "Adam" is Hebrew and is NOT a "name", but a description of a special kind of human. What special kind? Study "the ancient wisdom" and find out for yourself.
Further the word for man is an enitrely different word, and was used MUCH less often than "Adam"; however, those who did the translations went ahead and translated "Adam" as "man" for reasons that we may never fully know -- but mostly they did this because they were 'confused' as to why this "name" (which wasn't a name) kept appearing. Therefore, the word "Adam" should actually appear MANY more times and in the place of where "man" is.
Where does it say that Adam and Eve were "white" -- or that they or any of the 'old prophets' (Abraham, Noah, etc) were "Jews"? Abraham came from Chaldeas -- in UR (Mesopotamia) -- Noah also was a Mesopotamian. What race are/were these people?
Why not consider that "other religions" have the same "god", but just call him by another name. Ever heard of "Krishna"? What english name do you think that translates into? Fred? No, try Christ.
By most definitions -- if God is God, then he is eternal -- and has no beginning or no end. Also, and again -- depending upon your definition -- if God is omnipresent or at/in all places at all time -- then there isn't a place or time that God hasn't been or will be; therefore, to attempt to answer where He came from, etc., doesn't follow.
As far as "the races" are concerned -- you might try looking up the five basic races and tell me how "white" they look to you.
Now, if you actually knew these things as being true, then what would be your question? Or, what question would you ask?
The reality is, is that you could move onto other questions and receive other answers -- instead of running the risk of remaining "stuck".

Religion and god is as real as the tooth fairy....primitive man needed the 'religious experience' to survive in a hostile universe. The unknown was explained by the supernatural, the idea of an afterlife cushioned people from the grim aspects of death, in short, it was a survival mechanism developed within the temporal lobe of all human brains.
Modern man has developed rational thought and controls much of the environment, to the extent of knowing how 'things operate'. But obsolete genes do not die overnight, therefore you'll always be seeing people believing in religion, god and the supernatural.
I read about some interesting studies by scientists of the temporal lobe regions that are 'mis-firing' or giving off 'unbalanced' neuroligical signals. Some of the studies are intrigueing, they can duplicate 'religious experiences' in blind tests of humans.
It was already known that the more primitive limbic system of our brains contain the raw emotion where our religious beliefs spring forth. The development of the cerebral cortex (or the thinking and rational part of the brain) is only a recent development in humans, say the last 40,000-100,000 years.
It is also well known that the 'god-gene' (for lack of a better description) is triggered during times of duress, high anxiety, near death or starvation, and other high emotional episodes. It was our survival instinct that developed this so-called god-gene. Now, scientists can atificially trigger that response under laboratory conditions by narrowing the focus to the temporal regions of the brain. Further studies are being conducted to study this gene and its effect on our development as a species

I believe that there is a being that has always been. I do not know or care what he/she is like. I do believe that the worlds as we know it have evolved. I do not believe in Adam and Eve. It is a story that developed over the centuries to explain people's beginning. Every civilization has a similar type of story. I believe that this being has put people here to help us in our pursuit of life. They are people that are sent here to help us and they do for awhile but then we get confused. People like Jesus, Buddha, Moses, Mohammad, etc. We just forget that it is not about the religion, it is about dealing with each other. Religion is about power. Money. Control. They use fear to keep that power.

There is a God, but not an Adam and Eve. It was Adam and STEVE. But Adam sinned against God and lay with a woman as with a man, so God cast him out of the Garden.
But God and Steve met in the cool of the day in the Garden to talk about shoe sales and sing along with old Streisand albums.

People believe different things. I don't know exactly. I think there has to be something else out there. How did the universe occur if there was nothing else? What is outside of the universe? Are we really just 'fish' living in a huge fishbowl called the universe? I don't believe God created the earth, but I do believe there is something else out there...whether it's God, or whatever!

We can't prove that there is no God. But then again we can't prove that there is no Tooth Fairy.
If we are talking about the God of the Bible there are two major problems. First it is logically incoherent to talk of God being omnipotent, and then to talk about his being upset with humans about their behavior. Second if God supposedly intervenes in human affairs, then those interventions are by definition subject to, and detectable by science. And there has not been a single shred of evidence of this kind of intervention on God's part that has stood up to the ordinary expectations than any other scientific evidence is expected to live up to.

There are many gods but there is only one true God - The Creator of our universe.
We cannot take the Holy Bible's literal account of Adam and Eve nor its story of the Tower of Babel. We can't take them "word for word" but for sure they actually happened.
Unless you're a seven-day (or 7-thousand) creation "believer", you cannot take the Holy Bible's account of "word for word" account. Modern science tells us that our universe was not created that way.
The Holy Bible is a spiritual book and not a science textbook or reference book. Moses and the prophets were concerned about the spiritual and political mandates of their time.
Yes, God created the universe! How? Watch BBC astronomy segment "Sky at Night" hosted by Lord Patrick Moore and you'll learn how wonderfully God created the universe.

God is a term used by people to explain things that they don't understand.
As for the Adam and Eve thing, that's just a story. Not real. Cmon, serpents were talking in that story.
For the race thing, consider this. You and your husband/wife have a son. He has a daughter, who has a daughter, who has a son, and this goes on and on and on and on for 3 million years. Do you think that person is going to look anything like you?
